The Robe: - The robe (spiritual garment) in ritual practice is one of the most important pieces. This is so because the robe is a tool that is used to initiate the adept into a desired state.. That desired state is symbolically programmed through the making of the robe which is a meditative task in which if done correctly the true adept should not put on their robe or perform magick in the circle till they have mastered their mind. Once you have the robe made you can add symbols to it that can represent different states of being that will help you progress through the ritual you are performing much quicker. Thus if you are evoking and are having problems you can look at the symbol on your robe and immediately be in the desired state. This is how symbols in ritual work. They act as a guide to fuel as well as to shape ones will. The true ritualistic adept will have a different robe for each operation with its unique symbols. Same goes with the rest of the ritualistic tools. This is why in Goetia Solomon had so many seals and why the transcendental magician has rings. Each is a tool to manifest as well as to sustain a desired state of being so that the ritualist can wrestle with the self to obtain that which they seek. Everything that is symbolically used should be made and should be made the same way you made the robe. The robe is a representation of the whole of ritual practices.
How to make the robe:- To make the robe one should have some mastery of their body by mastering their mind through meditation and focus control. Only when one knows their self and thus has a large degree of mastery of the self should they practice magick. Otherwise they may not achieve the results they seek. I mention "some" mastery because if one has truly mastered their self then they would not need to perform ritual to access or to program their self to be able to access parts of their self. Now the first thing in question is the color of the robe. This is wholly dependant on your symbolic associations about what each color means to you and its relation to the ritual you wish to perform. The more meaning it has to you the more it will benefit you psychologically. The next step are the tools for making the robe. They too can be color coordinated to the task at hand as well as have symbols on them to help strengthen your symbolic link with the robe. The robe should also be made where you will be conducting your rituals. In fact it should never leave the room or area where you are conducting such rituals. This is so because everything in existence absorbs energies from the environment around them. You want your robe to be pure. Before you begin to make the robe you should enter the desired state of consciousness you wish to be in at all times when wearing the robe. Make sure you are completely in this desired state. Now begin to make the robe. Each movement of the tools and passing of the thread should strengthen your state of being to this robe. As you hold it in your hand feel your energy coursing into it giving it a life of its own. Tuning it towards a new purpose that is to bring you to your current state of being. Spend 15 minutes making this and then stop for an hour. When you are ready to continue upon seeing the small piece of cloth that you have made immediately make yourself remember the state of mind that you were in while making it. Then hold the cloth in your hand and look at it while achieving the desired state of consciousness that you want to associate this robe with. Then after 15 minutes stop again and repeat all over again. After a couple days the act of just looking at your robe should put you in the desired state of consciousness without having to wear it. Once you have reached that state you can complete the robe without having to stop every 15 minutes. Once the robe is done it becomes an extension of your other self. The self that you programmed into the robe. You should be able to feel that the robe has an energy that is almost alive from all of the energy you have put into it. It thus becomes your armour. While wearing the robe your thoughts should always be controlled. Remember that the robe absorbs the energies of its environment and thus you. Never ever put on the robe or even enter the ritual workspace with your mind unchecked. Always be sure to pre program yourself before any ritual practice. Thus meditate on the task at hand before even entering the temple. This is part of the cleansing one should do before and after a ritual. Thus when you put on your robe you should already know exactly what you are to do. No thinking in question. Total focus on the task at hand. This is necessary because if you are not pre-programmed then how will you sustain your focus or state of being. This is why symbols are necessary to keep the adepts mind on the task at hand. This is not always conscious either but programmed into the subconscious. This way when you call forth an entity your entire focus is on that entity and not on the ritual that brought you to the point of manifesting such a being.
