Astral projection is the means to project the mind through the ether or so called astral by use of the will and mind. Some consider that when you astral project that you are projecting a copy of yourself that the will has created through the mind. Which is why you still have all of your material senses. I would have to agree with this. Hence the astral body double (medium). I have noticed that many people have astral projection confused with the spiritual. Astral projection is in no means even connected with the spiritual because it is governed by the material in that through the focus of the mind one creates (evokes) a medium (hollowed representation of their self) that the person uses as a puppet (link - body double) to broaden their material perceptions. If astral projection was in fact spiritual then the person would have no need to create a material body double because through spirituality the person would be in harmony (in love) with its surroundings in which everything becomes an extension of them like a spider in the middle of a web in which through love you feel everything tugging at your being or web and thus have no reason to project yourself because everything in essence is projecting itself upon you (your web) and thus you know all things within your field of love and hence have no reason to move. For you are then everywhere yet nowhere, everything yet nothing. Thus if there is a medium involved then it is not entirely spiritual but governed by the mind. One must desolve the mind and embrace the whole for it to be truely spiritual and not material based.
